PNP Chief P/General Benjamin Acorda Jr. has recognized the active participation of the community in the successful apprehension of significant illegal drug operations in Western Visayas.
According to Acorda, the police have been receiving valuable information from the community, leading to successful anti-drug operations.
Based on data from the Police Regional Office 6, law enforcement authorities have confiscated illegal drugs amounting to P86 million in the region over the past two months.
The data reveals that a substantial amount of shabu has been seized in the cities of Bacolod and Iloilo City.
Addressing the issue of illegal drugs, the official assured that the police will continue to carry out aggressive and honest operations to address the problem effectively.
