
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the distribution of Land Titles and Turnover of Support Services at the City of Passi Arena (COPA) in Iloilo on December 11, 2023, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to sustaining resilient agrarian reform communities.
During the event, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Western Visayas distributed a total of 2,779 land titles to 2,143 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs), covering approximately 2,903 hectares of agricultural land. The distributed land titles were derived from the Support to Parcelization for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project, including 2,687 titles covering 2,784 hectares allocated to 2,062 ARBs, as well as 92 titles for new lands covering 118.7 hectares distributed to 81 ARBs.
Additionally, through the Sustainable and Resilient Agrarian Reform Communities (SuRe ARC) Project, DAR Western Visayas handed over farm machinery and equipment (FME) as well as organic fertilizers worth PhP26.7 million to selected Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in the provinces of Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo.
Furthermore, DAR Western Visayas constructed two tissue culture facilities with greenhouses and a greenhouse facility with solar power under the SuRe ARC Project, representing a total investment of PhP15.3 million.
