According to Mayor Trenas, the contractor has assured him that the project will be completed by December, meeting the target deadline.The market will have two floors, including a parking space for 30 vehicles and 45 motorcycles. There will also be a food court located on the second floor where people can cook and dine.Once the project is finished, it will accommodate 180 kiosks.The project is valued at P280 million, which is part of the P2.750 billion loan obtained by the city from the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP).
In addition to the loan, the construction of the Jaro Big Market and La Paz Public Market is also included.Apart from these developments, the Mandurriao Market is also being developed, funded by the efforts of Cong. Julienne Baronda, and the Central and Super Markets are under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) with SM Prime Holdings.
