Arrested in a buy-bust operation was John Kirby Tajanlangit, alias Manok, 28 years old, a resident of Barangay Dapdap, Tigbauan, Iloilo. Manok was apprehended in Barangay 9, Leonardia St., Tigbauan, Iloilo at around 3:45 in the afternoon by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of IPPO under the leadership of PCAPT Jorge Lenantud.
Manok was found in possession of 7 sachets of alleged illegal drugs concealed in an improvised tea bag, weighing 34 grams, with a standard drug price of P231,200.
Manok is on the top 4 Regional Target List of PNP and PDEA. According to Manok, he was previously arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation in 2016 but was able to get out in 2019 through a plea bargaining.
According to PCAPT Lenantud of PDEU, they have been monitoring Manok for a long time, and he was difficult to apprehend due to being too elusive.
Manok is now detained at the Tigbauan PNP and will be facing charges based on the evidence recovered from the buy-bust operation.”
