Law enforcement authorities from the Police Regional Office (PRO 6) achieved a significant breakthrough during a recent operation, successfully recovering illegal drugs with an estimated value of 455,600 pesos on Friday, July 28, 2023.
According to the PRO-6’s daily accomplishment report, the remarkable seizure was the outcome of four distinct operations, leading to the apprehension of nine suspects allegedly involved in the illicit drug trade.
Through meticulous execution, the coordinated efforts of the police force struck a heavy blow to drug trafficking activities within the region. Known drug hotspots were targeted, and individuals responsible for perpetuating these criminal activities were actively pursued.
Alongside the drug-related arrests, the police also made substantial progress in capturing wanted criminals. Among the apprehended were three individuals listed as “most wanted,” along with 23 other wanted individuals, as part of 26 operations aimed at curbing various criminal activities.
Going beyond the recovery of illegal substances, the commitment to maintaining law and order extended to voluntary firearm surrenders. Eight firearms were handed over to the authorities, showcasing the positive impact of proactive community engagement in crime prevention efforts. Additionally, five suspects were arrested in connection with the seized firearms.
