CABATUAN, ILOILO – A young man’s life was tragically cut short following a violent confrontation with an unknown attacker in Barangay Jelicuon Montinola. Ceraste Pancrudo, 26, a local resident, lost his life due to injuries sustained during the altercation.
The incident unfolded near the residence of Jonel Jordan, where both Pancrudo and the assailant were reportedly socializing. The assailant’s identity remains a mystery, as no witnesses have yet come forward to identify them.
Pancrudo was found with severe chest wounds, which proved fatal. He was rushed to the Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Cabatuan but was declared dead-on-arrival.
Jonel Jordan, who was present during the incident, was unable to provide significant details as he was asleep at the time of the confrontation.
Authorities are actively engaged in a hot pursuit operation to apprehend the unidentified assailant. Meanwhile, investigators are interviewing individuals who were at the gathering in an effort to piece together the events leading up to the altercation.
